Investment Banking Associate Program

Program Overview

Robinson-Humphrey is seeking to hire MBAs from leading business schools as full-time Associates in its Investment Banking Department, located at the firm’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia and its office in Boston, Massachusetts. In this position, Investment Banking Associates will:

Assume immediate responsibility as integral members of transaction teams, which are comprised of three to four bankers
Play a key role in developing solutions to clients’ financial needs, executing transactions and working with clients on a day-to-day basis
Work with senior professionals to develop new business by meeting with and making presentations to prospective clients.
The Investment Banking Department is organized into industry practice groups, which are responsible for both transaction origination and execution. New Associates are expected to join a practice group soon after joining the firm, but Associates have wide latitude to choose groups and focus areas. This approach provides Associates with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and experience base within a specific industry and with all of the financial products that Robinson-Humphrey offers. The flat organizational and staffing structure of the Investment Banking Department and the Associate’s ability to self direct his or her career appeals to professionals with prior investment banking experience. At RH, Associates have opportunity to take on more significant responsibility than is typical in many Wall Street Associate programs.

Candidates should have a strong interest in an investment banking career and should have an equal desire to live and work in Atlanta or Boston. New Associates usually have some background in finance and typically have worked as an Analyst or Summer Associate in investment banking. Other requisite qualifications include:

  • A desire for significant transaction execution responsibility
  • Strong leadership skills and proven success working in a team environment
  • Top academic performance and educational background
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Interest in emerging high growth businesses
